30 Years Going to Fripp and this is the Best
My family and I have been going to Fripp for 30 + years and have rented a multitude of houses big and small but the Crab’s Shack is the best. This was our first time renting this house but if it is available it wont be our last. We absolutely loved the kitchen. It was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook with from an electric skillet to pots to steam crabs in. The kitchen setup also made sense. The main living room is huge which we also enjoyed with big couches that were comfortable. The pier behind the house allowed us to catch every fish imaginable from Black Drum to flounder. We also caught 4 dozen huge blue crabs that we ate one night. The water was deep enough for us to park our 17′ Boston Whaler on it and keep it there all week with no trouble. If you do however take a boat note anything larger than around 14′ will take you quite a while to get to and from the marina unless you go out into the ocean and around the island. It took us exactly 45 minutes going 26 knots to get back to the marina in the river. Just like the pictures show the beach is a stones through away. In fact we have had ocean front places that were further from the beach on Fripp. Lastly the owner communicates very well. We had a ton of question we asked the days leading up to our visit and each one was answered clearly and timely. We also had a hurricane that affected our trip and we could not be happier with the communication that was provided to us to tell us what to expect and what to do. This house is a must rent in all aspects. I would say the only thing missing is the view of the ocean from your front window but if you want to see that all you have to do is take a few steps.

Our family has been vacationing on Fripp Island for 18 years and this house is by far one of the best we have ever rented. It’s location is definitely the best!!! The many extras the house provided (large porches, dock, outside showers, beach access, etc.) made our stay so much more enjoyable. The homeowner was very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be staying at CrabShack again.

My family and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Crab Shack on Fripp Island. This well maintained home has a fantastic screened porch, dock on the canal, enclosed outdoor showers, two living rooms plus its located directly across the street from one of our favorite beach access points. I highly recommend the Crab Shack and will certainly plan to stay again in the future.

Ah-mazing!!! The perfect family vacation house…roomy, clean, comfortable, convenient…all the things!!! Loved being on the marsh and quickest walk to the beach EVER!!! Catherine made sure our stay was top notch!!! We literally felt like we were “at home”….ahhhhhhhh. Can’t wait to go back to the “crab shack”!

439 Tarbon Blvd is a neat house, ideally located by the beach, on the canal, and near most of the amenities on Fripp Island, The house was very well kept and easily accommodated our 11 guests. The out his and her showers (hot and cold) were a Godsend when coming from the beach. I would definitely recommend for a family outing.

The property was exactly as listed, and Catherine and Bob were extremely responsive and available. Hard to beat the location on Fripp – beach out the front door and boating, fishing, and crabbing out the back. We hope to return!

We stayed in the Crab Shack with two other couples for a long weekend. We have stayed in 2 other homes on the canal in the past and this home is our favorite!! It was right across from the beach walk and had the best dock for fishing!! This home has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Catherine, the owner, was very accommodating to our every need. We can’t wait to come again!!

Loved staying at the Crabs Shack! From fishing off the dock to being right across the street from beach. Very easy accessible to the beach. My family had a great week. Robert and Katherine were there for us anytime we needed anything.
